Gyros preparation
You can prepare traditional gyros in your kitchen. Just skewer the pre-prepared meat (according to taste, some prefer chicken, pork neck or mutton) on a skewer into a cone shape. When grilling, the meat is then cut off in the shape of a cone, the browned ends are cut off and the meat is grilled further. Please WARNING! Always turn the heating coil off before opening the door, ideally when it has cooled briefly. Then open the door, slice the meat, close the door and turn the heating coil back on. The prepared meat can then be served on a plate with chopped vegetables, or put into toasted pita bread and don’t forget the tzatziki.
