HEPA H13 filter is used to remove fly dust, dust mites, microbes, mold, allergens and bacteria
Activated carbon filter removes cigarette smoke, kitchen odors and formaldehyde, a substance found in furniture, TVs, carpets, etc.
Replacement of this filter is expected once a year, depending on the level of air pollution and the frequency of use of the dehumidifier
The filter cannot be washed with water, any dirt can be vacuumed
The filter is inserted between the opening and the grille covering the air inlet at the back of the dehumidifier (the activated carbon filter should face in and the HEPA filter out)
Caution: using a HEPA filter will slightly reduce the performance of your dehumidifier
We recommend using either the DF-005 and DF-006 filters at the same time or the DF-015 Health Kit filter only. We do not recommend combining all 3 types of filters.

HEPA filter

It is made of microfibre (non-woven fabric) using the melt-blown method. It is capable of capturing particles larger than 20 nanometers in diameter, which include mold, bacteria, viruses, allergens and particulate matter with a success rate of up to 99.9%. HEPA filter stands for “High Efficiency Particulate Air filter”, which means High Efficiency Particulate Air filter and was originally developed for the US NASA. It is also commonly used in healthcare and pharmaceutical applications.

Active Carbon Filter (Catalytic/Photocatalyst Filter)

Acts as an efficient catalyst that breaks down formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia and other toxic substances at room temperature. These commonly surround us in every household. For example, they are released from furniture, carpets, curtains, bed linen, etc.
